Hover the pill over your notch and it expands into the glass panel; move the pointer away and it collapses back into the notch.

Do I need a Mac with a notch?

It's made for the notch, but on a display without one it simply shows as a pill at the top of the screen. It auto-positions on whichever display has the notch.

Does it need any permissions?

The media tab controls Music or Spotify through AppleScript, so macOS asks for Automation permission the first time — grant it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.

A Mac running macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later. If macOS says it can't verify the developer on first launch, right-click the app and choose Open.

What's new in this version?

Two new tabs, podcasts in the notch, and a smoother finish. A Space tab predicts when the ISS will pass over you and shows it live on a world map — ground track, speed, altitude and whether it's sunlit. A Twitch tab lets you edit your stream's title and category and follow live chat, replying from the notch with @-mentions highlighted. The Media tab now reads and controls Reed's podcast player — episode, show, artwork, chapters and transport — alongside Music and Spotify, appearing automatically once Reed is installed. And a smoother finish: numbers roll like an odometer, album art glides between the closed notch and the open player, the cover no longer flickers between apps, and a batch of stability fixes.
